A Paper Airplane for Duration

What You will Need

sheet of paper, 8.5 by 11 inches
scissors

This is is a very simple paper airplane to make and is great for staying in flight for long periods. Start with an 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper and make the first two folds shown here. Remember that you can click on most of the images for larger versions.

Next, fold the other side over like in the diagram. Be sure that you make sharp creases and folds.

Now you just need to fold over the part of the flap that hangs over the front edge.

Next, turn your airplane over to it's other side and fold back the nose. Make special sure this is a sharp crease.

Fold both wings back to the places marked on the diagram.

The last two things you need to do is cut a hold in your plane so you can use your finger to launch it. Then just cut the flaps where they are marked and fold them up. The flaps add lift to your airplane.
