AntliaMythologyAntlia is an inconspicuous constellation below Hydra. It is one of the later named group of stars, as reflected in what it represents, an air pump. Alas too, there is no story connected with it with daring heroes and creatures of fantasy. Mankind had turned more practical and less romantic by the time Antlia was so named. For the Observer
Epsilon Antlia (09h 29.1m -35°57') has a magnitude of 4.5 and is 313 light years distant. It is a class M red giant. |
