Alpha Chamaeleon (08h 14.3m -76°55') is a 4th magnitude star 78 light years distant. It is a yellow giant star of class F6.

Gamma Chamaeleon (10h 35.2m -78°36') is of magnitude 4.1. It is a red class M giant star, 251 light years distant.

Delta Chamaeleon (10h 45m -89°12') is a double system. The primary is a magnitude 5.4 orange giant, 359 light years away. The companion is a blue-white optical companion of magnitude 4.5.
